We've invited five of the nation’s top BBQ Rib Competitors from all around the country to compete in an epic battle for the top spot as the Lakeridge Winery "Rib King". While you’re feasting on delicious BBQ you can enjoy LIVE music on our outdoor stage with some of the area’s top Blues Bands, plus some great solo acts inside at our Our Wine & Cheese Bar. We'll have a large assortment of Arts & Craft vendors set up offering a wide variety of art and hand crafted items. As always you'll be able to enjoy your favorite Lakeridge wines, wine slushies, cold beer, ice cream, and a variety of other tasty treats.

Johnson’s BBQ represents the culmination of over 75 years of experience. His secret is the way his food is prepared. Everything he does is focused around authenticity, from his bbq recipes to his custom made smokers. His meat is extremely high quality, smoked slowly up to 16 hours. He has three different sauces, mild for the meek and humble, medium for the daring, and thermonuclear sauce for the brave and bodacious.
The Rib “Colonel” Dan Johnson comes by his name honestly, a retired Army Colonel and the winner of more rib competitions than we have room to list, he knows how to put up a fight. Dan doesn’t like to brag but he has won Best Ribs in America 4 times, Best Sauce in America 5 times, and a has list of other awards as long as your arm.
Over the past 15 years "The Carolina Rib King" has emerged as one of the top rib cookers in North America. Solomon Williams, more commonly known as the King, combined his love of people, his honor of heritage and his passion for barbecuing to create a food masterpiece.
Over the years their demand has grown so significantly that today they produce about 1000 slabs of ribs and 1000 lbs of pork or beef a day. To ensure their meat is always fresh, it is specially delivered to every venue. The Kings passion for grilling is responsible for their motto of "Grilling for a Livin'" a reality. As they say, "When your livin' is on the line, your grillin' has got to be fine”!
Cowboys Barbeque & Rib Company is the pride of Texas BBQ, and like everything in Texas, Cowboys plans on doing it BIG at the BBQ & Blues Festival! Cowboys was founded in 1986 by Texas native Dallas Green and he prides himself in the traditions of true Texas Barbecue.
Cowboys has taken its Texas style BBQ all over the country and proven time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with. That’s not just talk either, their list of top awards span the nation from Boston to St Louis, Pittsburgh to Austin, Dallas to Bismarck, and Palm Beach to California. Make no mistake about it, they plan on adding Lakeridge Winery and Clermont Florida to their impressive list of wins!
Camp 31 was founded in 1908 as a "Saw Mill” general store outside Brewton, Alabama. Camp 31 BBQ was established by Larry Murphy in 1985, and they’ve been serving up mouth watering authentic southern BBQ ever since. They entered their first BBQ cook-off in Pensacola, Florida in 1986 and took home 3 first place trophies. They have been touring the US and Canada ever since winning awards and serving mouth watering BBQ.
Awards and trophies aside, Camp31 is just flat out one of the highest productive BBQ teams on the road today. Their specialty, of course, is cooking the best Southern Style Bar-B-Que around. Their BBQ is slow smoked over hickory logs ensuring the most tender meat and the most flavorful rib experience!
Porky-N-Beans is an "Award Winning Bar-B-Que" company from Port St. Lucie Florida! They are national rib cook off contenders and travel between 10,000 and 15,000 miles a year competing in cities from Ft. Lauderdale to Reno. They have won numerous rib cook off titles such as the prestigious Golden Rib Award and Best Ribs in America. Based out of Port St. Lucie Florida Porky-N-Beans is serves up some of the nations best BBQ!

While you’re relaxing and enjoying one of our fabulous cheese plates you’ll be entertained by some of the area’s hottest solo acts. Great wine, music, and cheese... it doesn’t get better than this!
